Healthy can be fun. I have found, over the last 5 days of my GET HEALTHY CHALLENGE, it is enjoyable! Anyone who knows me knows I think sweets should be the biggest portion of the food group (but I am on day 5 with only 2 bites of cheesecake). As I have been working on this challenge I have really enjoyed the 30 minute walks with my husband (time we can visit, laugh and talk uninterrupted--with three children that is rare, and for some reason they don't want to join us.) Another aspect I have enjoyed is fruit and vegetable intake. I love fruits and veggies, but this has given me a moment to step back and recognize how little I eat of these important foods.

I love salad. Often in our society, when going on a date or catching up with friends, we meet for dinner. I have learned that, in the pas,t I have left feeling heavy, full, and just plain sick. I love Pizza Factory for this reason. In my opinion, it's the best place in town because of the many fresh options they offer at their salad bar. I have never thought about putting mandarin oranges and pineapple on my salad, but thanks to Pizza Factory I do. I also love those little corn thingy, I am not exactly sure what they are, but they are always on the center of my salad. Got to get your carbs in, too, right? I love their bread twists, and think 'well I’ve off set my meal with a salad and water (with crushed ice) so I can splurge a little'. I generally only eat half, but it is the perfect accent to my salad.

I have teamed up with Pizza Factory with the GET HEALTHY CHALLENGE. You can win a $10 gift card and enjoy a salad, too (or pizza, spaghetti, and did I mention they have the best chocolate chip cookies!? Everyone needs a little sugar sometimes...)
I love ham and pineapple!
