Just another little tidbit from me. I found this program a few years ago, thanks to a neighbor and friend. We tried it and it is AAAAAAAAAAMAZING! My son who is in 1st grade participated the year prior to Kindergarten. I did enroll him in a pre-school for the social and school environment. The way this technological world is going this gets your little one involved and knowledgeable about the computer and how it works on their level. I LOVE UPSTART, and can't wait for my little man to start it in the fall. Here is a few things you need to know;
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
UPSTART is for Utah children the school year before they go to kindergarten.
Participants agree to use the program at home at least
15 minutes a day, 5 days a week.
WHAT IS THE PROGRAM?
UPSTART provides families like yours with a computer-based preschool program called Rusty and Rosy Learn with Me™ that your child uses at home for at least 15 minutes a day.
- Complete. Rusty and Rosy Learn with Me automatically progresses through complete lessons first in beginning reading and then in math and science. Parent preparation is NOT required.
- Easy to Use. Your child can work on the program without help.

WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO?
- You can pre-register children who will enter kindergarten in the fall of 2014 and beyond, and we will keep you advised of your participation status and other program related information. However, program participation is limited.
