I enjoy making cards for holidays. It is a way to keep the grandparents and family involved with our children. I always include a current picture that coincides with the holiday. {My poor kids feel tortured but realize if they smile quick it will be over sooner.} I like to take all kind of shots not just posed. This makes it more fun and interesting to the receiver. My grandma left a book for me when she passed away of the cards she'd saved through the years. So you can see it benefits the receiver, my children (even though they don't know it yet, someday they will) and myself (a hobby).
THIS WEEK WILL BE A FEW IDEAS FOR THE 4TH OF JULY CARDS:
(feel free to copy or tweak any you would like)
Supplies needed:
Brown, Blue, Red, & White Cardstock
Rhinestone 3D sticker, Blue Ribbon, & Staples
I cut the brown cardstock to 7x6. Fold into a 4x6 card
This leaves appx an 1" space at the bottom.
Cut three size of stars Large to small.
Attach some type of embellishment.
I chose a rhinestone, blue ribbon knotted and cut to size and x'd with a stapler
Inside is a photo of the children with a cute 4th of July boarder giving
it the effect of the star paper.
