I am a very visual person, that is why I love "TO DO LISTS!" Write it down, complete the chore , and cross it off. One of the LISTS I make are Cleaning Schedules. It keeps me focused and on task! Here are some suggestions on how to make these lists.
Some people enjoy taking a room a day:
Monday: Kitchen: Sweep, Mop, Clean countertops, cupboards and back splash. Disinfect sink,
stove, and microwave. Clean out toaster.
Tuesday: Living Room: Dust, Vacuum, Clean off sofas, straighten magazines or books
SO on.
I like to take certain tasks and complete them multiple times a week:
Vacuum~ M, W, F (unless needed more)
Sweep & Mop ~M, Th
Dust~ M
Wash Sheets~ Tuesday
Iron~Thursday
You get the idea but we all enjoy being home more if our house is clean. And if you have children, let them have some responsibility and learn to clean. Washing dishes is something I've always loved doing with someone else, it is a time when no one wants to bother you and you can visit and discuss life. It is a good time to BOND with your children and let them know you care about them, plus you are teaching them a life lesson on tidieness.
