I just read a book. Did I like it?? I can't say for sure. It was really interesting and kept my attention to the last page. Such a creative way of writing. Not my typical book, but if you like to read you really NEED to read this one. I highly recommend it.

RED 5
The Book of Mormon is a book that as members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints are encouraged to read. Especially this year as we are studying it in Gospel Doctrine.

witness of Jesus Christ, of our doctrine, and of our testimony.
Second, the Book of Mormon was written for our day.
Third, the Book of Mormon helps us draw nearer to God.
So as I began my study this year my little sister introduced me to a little help, a guide that will encourage reading the BofM in 100 days. It is broken down into 5 pages a day with a quote about what has been read that day and a question to ponder.

Twenty-five years ago, President Ezra Taft Benson (1899–1994) detailed “three great reasons why Latter-day Saints should make the study of the Book of Mormon a lifetime pursuit.”1 The reasons were these:
First, the Book of Mormon is the keystone of our religion—the keystone of our witness of Jesus Christ, of our doctrine, and of our testimony.
Second, the Book of Mormon was written for our day.
Third, the Book of Mormon helps us draw nearer to God.

I made a book like this for our youth for youth conference. I designed the cover and we gave them to 100 of our young men and young women in our stake with the challenge to Read Every Day 5 pages. It is about a 4x5 book that is spiral bound and a very compact and helpful scripture help.

This has been an amazing experience, and I want everyone to enjoy it too!~

ThE BESt of Me
Just finished another book by my FAVORITE author Nicholas Sparks. My sister gave it to me for my birthday in October and I actually waited to read it till after the holidays and when things slowed down a little. I love to savor his books, cause I always feel a little sad when they are over. If your up for a good book, check this one out!~~

Description
Description
The Best of Me is the heart-rending story of two small-town former high school sweethearts from opposite sides of the tracks. Now middle-aged, they’ve taken wildly divergent paths, but neither has lived the life they imagined . . . and neither can forget the passionate first love that forever altered their world. When they are both called back to their hometown for the funeral of the mentor who once gave them shelter, they will be forced to confront the choices each has made, and ask whether love can truly rewrite the past.
ps: There is a movie coming out based on the book Nicholas Sparks wrote called

A Good Read
If you are looking for a good book that is a pretty quick read I have a suggestion. I just finished a book recommended by my Mother In Law. It is called "The Last Lecture" By: Randy Pausch. It gives you the chance to hear his story and motivations as he has terminal cancer. It is actually funny, amusing, and heart wrenching all at once. I would highly recommend this book.
Or you can go to and watch it.

A Must Read
Charles Dickens was a well known author. Known for books like
Great Expectations,
A Tale of Two Cities,
Little Dorrit ,
A Christmas Carol,
For Christmas my husbands parents gave us the book:

Just before the 1933 holidays, Sir Henry, then the only living child of Dickens, died, leaving his father's manuscript to his wife and children. He also bequeathed to them the right to make the decision to publish The Life of Our Lord. By majority vote, Sir Henry's widow and children decided to publish the book in London. In 1934, Simon & Schuster published the first American edition, which became one of the year's biggest bestsellers.
THIS teaches about Jesus Christ in such a simple yet powerful way. You need to get a copy and read it, I think you will love it to.

For Christmas my husbands parents gave us the book:

This is one of the most powerful books. It is sweet the way this man known as one of the grand masters of Victorian literature took time to write an account of Jesus Christs life. This book was intended for his children
For eighty-five years the manuscript was guarded as a precious family secret, and it was handed down from one relative to the next. When Dickens died in 1870, it was left to his sister-in-law, Georgina Hogarth. From there it fell to Dickens's son, Sir Henry Fielding Dickens, with the admonition that it should not be published while any child of Dickens lived.
