So school is finally out for us. Instead of dreading the days until Christmas as the excitement builds and the tension in the house about explodes, we began something a few years back. It is WONDERFUL! We call it Crafts to Christmas. This year it's pretty short with only a few days before Christmas, but everyday as we await the big day we make a craft. I have got my sisters and niece's involved and so we each take a day and do a craft.

Made snow globes
Talked about Gingerbread men and decorated our own gingerbread
Made gingerbread houses
Made friend gifts
Candy Cane Reindeer
Generally there is a story to go along with the craft. It's something the children really look forward to. Such a fun and enjoyable time for all who participate!!!~
