Anti Aging and Beans?

Like"microscopic doctors" that keep your body healthy by fighting off free radicals (which are molecules, atoms, or ions that can cause premature aging and disease).

Most people know that fruits like blueberries, blackberries, and cranberries are packed with anti-aging antioxidants, but guess which unsuspecting foods rank even higher in terms of their antioxidant content per serving?

 

      According to a study in the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, three of the top five antioxidant-packed foods are... beans!

No kidding, and the #1 food is the red bean! (Weird, huh?)


      Cranberries, blueberries, and blackberries ranked highest among the fruits. Beans, artichokes, and Russet potatoes were tops among the vegetables. (A potato... never would have guessed.)

Pecans, walnuts, and hazelnuts topped the nuts category, and ground cloves, cinnamon, and oregano are the top three antioxidant-rich spices.
